Hospitality studies focus on hospitality, travel, tourism and general management leading to careers in the hospitality and services sector, and teach the process of friendly reception and treatment of guests. Hospitality studies involve multiple branches including entertainment, recreation, food service and hotel management and a variety of fields such as culinary arts, restaurant management, sports and gaming, hotel management, tourism, event planning, fleet services, resort and visitor attraction coordination.

Depending on the programme, a typical curriculum offers modules in accounting, administration, finance, information systems, HR management, event management, public relations, strategy, business law, business ethics, hotel and tourism management, front office management as well as culinary training on food production, nutrition and food science.
