The College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts of the University of Illinois at Chicago is a unique group of schools and affiliated units that focuses on the investigation, creation, and interpretation of physical, social, and sensory environments.
With degree programs in the visual arts, design, architecture, and art history, the college educates the next generation of architects, art historians, designers, museum professionals, and visual and performing artists. Graduate students are governed by the policies of the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Graduate College, their disciplinary (line) college, and their department, and they are expected to become familiar with these policies. The Graduate Catalog in effect when the student begins enrollment in a degree program is the primary source of information on Graduate College policies pertaining to the student.
