Via their Guaranteed Paid Internship Program (GPIP), first-year engineering students have the unique opportunity to serve as paid interns over the summer after their freshman year. Learning format
The primary goal of these classroom based Engineering Programmes is to make sure that the students are ready for
- To build a career in the engineering profession;
- Continued formal education at the graduate level; and
- Continued education to adapt to evolving technologies and changing markets.
The students become familiar with the fundamental mathematical and scientific principles that are common to engineering and computer science disciplines. Via individual and group projects, students make use of current techniques, instruments, equipment, and computers, and gain proficiency in communicating the results of their work.
Entry requirements
Applicants are considered on an individual basis. Complete transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work must be submitted.
English proficiency is required for the programme.
