Course Information

This programmme will provide you with the ability to critically evaluate how to build organisational structure and capacity through people management and developmental processes, encourage regular, systematic improvements to performance and professional development across the workplace, strategically assess trends and best practices that can be imported from outside the organisation to improve business processes and analyse the methodologies of colleagues and stakeholders and champion professionalism in the HRM practice.

By studying this programme you are gaining an associate membership to Institute for Research into Organisations, Work and Employment (iROWE) and gaining access to its wide network and range of published material.

Also, by graduating from our UCLan master’s in HRM you will be avarded with CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma award, which is the highest level of qualification offered by the he Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development . CIPD is the professional body for Human Resource Management professionals and is recognised in the UK, Ireland, Middle East, Asia, and beyond.

Learning format

This programme consists of four modules followed by the research project.

Weekly activities include mix of webinars, forums, and learning activities. In order to complete essays, projects and dissertation you will be provided with an access to online library where learning materials can be found.


Assessment is made based on a combination of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessment involves tutor feedback on your presentations and other projects, whereas summative assessments will typically take place through essays and assessed coursework.

 

Entry requirements

In order to qualify for the programme an individual needs to meet the following criteria:

-hold at least a 2:2 degree or equivalent professional experience or learning in a related field,

-if English is not a first language, you’ll need to hold a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or an acceptable equivalent.

However, please note that we’ll consider all candidates on their individual merits.
