This programme is designed for law and non-law graduates wishing to explore explore the practical application of area of insurance law.

Industry industry field  is the second largest industry in the UK, behind banking, offering a wide range of job opportunities. This programme offers an opportunity to explore insurance law, regulation and practice.

Learning Format

This course is delivered 100%. It consists of set of 10 week-long modules, and 2hour-long weekly workshops. 

You will be guided by industry experts, who will support you in exploring a variety of important issues surrounding the protection of individuals and societies in many situations around the world.

The concluding element of your master’s is dissertation that can be undertaken, having completed all taught modules.

Study material, including preparatory materials and lectures, is available through Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Apart from traditional modules, this programme offers a two-week long induction to the programme that discusses the Key Principles of the English Legal System.

This programme can be taken in a full-time mode taking 8-9 months, or a part-time mode taking 20 months.

 

Entry Requirements

In order to qualify for the programme, students should possess 

  • UK bachelor’s degree in any subject at 2:2 or above or equivalent qualifications.

  • Non-law students must complete a compulsory two week induction covering the Key Principles of the English Legal System, unless they can evidence the successful completion of an LLB (or equivalent) or a minimum of 3 legal modules worth at least 80 QCF credits, which must include - English Legal System, Contract Law and Law of Tort.
